In America The early performances of Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely place her into the category of child prodigies. This was a natural trait for a child born in Ireland, surrounded by talented parents and a loving family. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished sanctuary within Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th, 1920. Marguerita L. FitzSimons was a successful contralto. The father of her, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin and was also the owner of the well-known Irish soccer club "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons was the second FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen was an athletic natural and loved playing sporting games. Her talent for performing perfectly complemented her interest in athletics.
