Shay Mitchell is an Canadian actor, model and businesswoman. Her most famous role is Emily Fields on the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. After her accomplishments in dance, modeling and acting, she took acting classes. Mitchell landed several commercials and was a guest on the TV show before landing her first major part in the role of Emily Fields. Her performance was well-received for her talents by critics as well the viewers. Her career on screen started with the films Dreamland, Mother's Day, and The Possession of Hannah Grace. Her role in the series of psychological thrillers "You" led to more recognition. She has written an adult book called Bliss which she co-wrote in collaboration with Michaela Blaney. Shay Mitchell was raised in Ontario by her parents Mark Mitchell & Precious Gonzalez. Shay Mitchell was born on 10th April 1987. Her father is Irish-Scottish and is of Irish descent. Mitchell is also in a close relationship with Lea Salonga. She is an actress, singer and musical theater actor. Mitchell went to Rockridge Secondary school before she transferred onto West Vancouver Secondary. As she grew older, Mitchell had been employed by various modeling firms across the globe. She traveled across the globe to Barcelona, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, ultimately returning home to Toronto and pursuing a degree in acting.
