Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught in the school system and her mom was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and would often perform puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6 which led to an inquiry from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick's first big job was in 1964 which was when she appeared in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the leading character on the play Wind It up and It Breaks, a play in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from among 1200 children who auditioned to play the eldest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick stated in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly losing her virginity in the fifth season to Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we didn't have the proper time to do it.
